With six hotels and a total of 1,185 rooms, the Rhineland and Ruhr region is the most densely populated region in the COTP portfolio—ideal for group trips, bus tours, musical theater trips, and city breaks to Cologne, Düsseldorf, Essen, and Bochum.

For concert and musical theater groups, the Four Points Flex by Sheraton Bochum offers 162 rooms, including 81 twin rooms with separate beds. In Düsseldorf, the Holiday Inn Düsseldorf City, ibis Düsseldorf Airport, and Novotel Düsseldorf Airport offer a total of 599 rooms in various categories. This makes it possible to accommodate multiple travel groups at the same time or groups with different budget levels.

Four hotels with 789 rooms connect the Rhine, the Moselle, and the Rhine-Main region —ideal for bus tours along the Rhine, wine tours along the Moselle, and combined flight and tour packages.

With 96 twin rooms out of a total of 120, the Four Points Flex by Sheraton Koblenz offers the highest proportion of twin rooms in the COTP portfolio. This makes the hotel particularly well-suited for bus groups and tour operators. Koblenz is also an ideal starting point for visiting the Deutsches Eck, the Upper Middle Rhine Valley (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), the Loreley, and Rhine and Moselle river cruises.

For arrival and departure days via Frankfurt, the Moxy Frankfurt Airport offers 305 rooms in the immediate vicinity of the airport. The region is complemented by hotels in Ludwigshafen and Eschborn.

Particularly well-suited for Rhine and Moselle river cruises, castle tours, wine festivals, Loreley tours, and combined air and bus trips.

With 945 rooms across five locations, Northern Germany & Lower Saxony offers a strong base for bus tours, musical theater trips to Hamburg, round-trip tours, and overnight stays en route to the North Sea and Baltic Sea.

With 329 rooms and 123 twin rooms, the Four Points Flex by Sheraton Hannover is the largest group hotel in the COTP portfolio. Its high capacity allows for the accommodation of multiple bus groups at the same time.

The ibis Styles Hamburg-Barmbek is particularly well-suited for trips to Hamburg: The S1 train takes you to both the main train station and the airport in about twelve minutes. This makes it easy to plan trips to see musicals, visit the harbor, or explore the city without having to take additional evening bus rides.

The locations in Göttingen, Osnabrück, and Gütersloh round out the network along key north-south and east-west routes via the A7, A1/A30, and A2.

Good reasons to visit include Hamburg’s musicals, the harbor and the Elbphilharmonie, the Harz Mountains and the Lüneburg Heath, as well as overnight stays on trips to the North Sea and the Baltic Sea.

Group Hotels for City Trips to the Capital Region

With Potsdam and, starting in 2027, Berlin, COTP offers two destinations for group tours, cultural tours, and city breaks in the Berlin-Brandenburg metropolitan region.

Le doux Souvenir, Potsdam, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, features 145 rooms and serves as an ideal base for visiting Sanssouci Palace, the palaces and gardens of Potsdam, Berlin, and the surrounding Brandenburg region.

Starting in January 2027, the DASEYN Berlin Fischerinsel will expand the portfolio with 165 rooms in Berlin-Mitte. The central location is particularly well-suited for city tours, museum visits, concert and theater trips, as well as multi-day itineraries in Berlin. Block reservations for the 2027 season can already be requested.

Popular travel destinations include Sanssouci and the Potsdam palaces, Berlin city tours, Museum Island, as well as trips to concerts, cultural events, and the theater.

Group Hotels in Munich, Augsburg, and Bayreuth

Six hotels with a total of 902 rooms offer a wide range of options for group trips to Munich and Bavaria, round-trip tours, club trips, and overnight stays on the way to the Alps.

In the greater Munich area, a total of 586 rooms are available at the ibis Styles Munich-Perlach, Moxy Munich Airport in Oberding, and Moxy Munich Messe in Aschheim. This makes the region ideal for both traditional city breaks in Munich and for groups traveling by air, trade show attendees, and tour groups.

The Holiday Inn Express Augsburg offers 48 family rooms; 50 rooms also feature a sofa bed for children. In Bayreuth, ibis Styles and ibis budget share a location with a common lobby. A total of 180 rooms across two price categories make it possible to accommodate groups with varying budgets.

These locations are ideal for trips to Munich, the Alps and the Alpine foothills, along the Romantic Road, to Oktoberfest, to the Bayreuth Festival, to Franconian Switzerland, and to the Bavarian royal castles, among other destinations.

Group Hotels Between Stuttgart, the Black Forest, and Switzerland

With 955 rooms, Baden-Württemberg & Zurich offers an exceptionally robust room capacity for bus groups, family groups, and tours to the Black Forest, Lake Constance, Switzerland, and the Alps.

With 319 rooms, the Mercure Zurich City is the largest single hotel in the region and also the only COTP location in Switzerland. Its 154 twin rooms and 139 family rooms make the hotel particularly attractive for larger travel groups and a variety of occupancy arrangements.

The nestor Hotel Ludwigsburg features 179 rooms, including 85 twin rooms and 99 family rooms. Its location near the Blühendes Barock and the Ludwigsburg Residence makes it ideal for cultural and sightseeing tours.

Other group locations are in Pforzheim on the northern edge of the Black Forest, Stuttgart-Feuerbach, and Neckarsulm along the A6 and A81 highways. This makes the region ideal for stopovers on trips to Lake Constance, Switzerland, and the Alps.
