The Chocolate on the Pillow Group is continuing its growth course with the acquisition of six further Moxy Hotels in Germany. The hotels in FrankfurtEschborn and at Frankfurt Airport, Munich Messe and Munich Airport, Stuttgart Feuerbach and Ludwigshafen add a total of 1,321 rooms to the Group's portfolio. 140 employees will be taken on in full - and thus become part of a hospitality culture that emphasizes appreciation, development and team spirit.
“By integrating these hotels into our portfolio, we are not only strengthening our market presence, but also demonstrating how well these hotels fit our operating model – in terms of brand, systems and processes. This enables us to continue to grow in a scalable manner and focus on operational excellence,” says Erik Florvaag, CEO of The Chocolate on the PillowGroup.
With this acquisition, The Chocolate on the Pillow Group is further expanding its role as a franchise partner of Marriott International on the German market. Together with the existing properties – including the two Moxys in Cologne and six Four Points Flex by Sheraton – the portfolio will in future comprise 14 Marriott hotels. In total, the group will operate 5,185 rooms at over 25 locations in the DACH region.
The portfolio of six Moxy Hotels offers modern design, efficiency and a community concept – and thus strikes a chord with a new generation of guests. The modular timber construction of the hotels is also an expression of sustainable, resource-conserving architecture. All of the approximately 140 employees of the acquired hotels will be kept on. This underlines the Chocolate on the Pillow Group’s understanding of stability and trust – and that genuine hospitality can only succeed with strong teams.
