The Chocolate on the Pillow Group, known for its innovative hotel concepts, is pleased to announce the next development step for the nestor Hotel Neckarsulm together with its shareholder Art-Invest Real Estate. After Art-Invest Real Estate acquired the hotel in July 2023, work began on the strategic realignment of the hotel. The Chocolate on the Pillow will carry out the repositioning on the market and the rebranding in cooperation with the owner and the franchise partner Accor.
“The decision to convert the nestor hotel in Neckarsulm into an ibis Styles hotel represents a further enhancement of our hotel portfolio. With the approach developed here of converting conference space into additional rooms, we are increasing operational efficiencies and establishing a modern hotel product at the location. Thanks to the wide range of options available to us as a multi-brand operator, we are creating sustainably successful hotel concepts with individual unique selling points with our franchise partners,” comments Erik Florvaag, CEO and Managing Partner of The Chocolate on the Pillow Group.
The redesign of the hotel is taking place against the backdrop of increased demand in the region, particularly from the Audi Forum, which is set to become the Group’s leading production site for electric mobility by 2025. The source of inspiration for the hotel’s new interior design is therefore obvious: the love of motorcycles and cars at the Neckarsulm location is the guiding principle and is expressed in the redesign of the rooms, bathrooms and public areas. Another focus of the conversion is on sustainable mobility. The ibis Styles hotel will provide bicycle spaces and e-charging stations to accommodate environmentally conscious travelers.

The project includes the expansion of the number of rooms from the current 84 to 97. In addition to the existing categories, design-oriented family rooms and barrier-free hotel rooms will be integrated in order to meet the individual needs of all guests. The start of the renovation work is planned for July this year. The renovation should be completed by the beginning of 2025. During this phase, the hotel will remain open without restrictions. The Chocolate on the Pillow Group and the local hotel team are looking forward to presenting the redesigned ibis Styles Hotel in Neckarsulm as a first-class destination for business and leisure travelers.
