The Chocolate on the Pillow Group presses ahead with its strategic realignment and enters into a cooperation with Marriott International

The Chocolate on the Pillow Group (COTP) is consistently pursuing its strategic goal of positioning itself as a leading operator of hotels under internationally renowned franchise brands in the DACH region. In this context, six hotels under the own brand "GHOTEL hotel & living" will become Four Points Flex by Sheraton ". With this step, COTP is further expanding its long-standing cooperation with Marriott and laying the foundation for future growth. This initiative is part of a comprehensive investment offensive: around 10 million euros will be invested in the modernization of the six locations in order to consistently align the products with the growing demands of guests. In addition to a noticeable improvement in the quality of stay, the measures will also significantly increase the quality of the properties for the owners.

At the same time, COTP is making targeted investments in the Group’s digital transformation and consistently implementing its comprehensive digitalization strategy. As part of the rebranding to Four Points Flex by Sheraton, new systems are being implemented to make operations more efficient, optimize processes and sustainably increase profitability. “The conversion of the six hotels to the international ‘Four Points Flex by Sheraton’ brand is the next logical step for us on our development and growth path. We are creating attractive products for our guests, strengthening cooperation with our franchise partners and ensuring the long-term economic success of our owners,” explains Erik Florvaag, CEO and Managing Partner of The Chocolate on the Pillow Group. The Four Points Flex by Sheraton brand, which is still new in Germany, is a conversation-oriented mid-range brand developed in response to growing consumer demand for reliable and affordable accommodation.

The brand offers price-conscious consumers a seamless hotel experience in a convenient location, with the principles of reliability, simplicity and value in both design and guest experience. The six hotels will offer a contemporary, comfort-oriented experience that appeals to both business and leisure travelers. Particular emphasis will be placed on an appealing design, uncomplicated service and the integration of intelligent, digital solutions. In addition to a fresh room design, the brand integrates smart solutions for everyday hotel life, sustainable energy concepts and modern mobility offers – all in line with COTP’s sustainability strategy. The rebranding and renovation work is expected to be completed in 2026. The opening of the first location is planned for March 2025.
